BIOGRAPHY

Jennifer Greene is an equity-driven education leader whose work is grounded in helping people make sense of complex systems so their influence leads to meaningful outcomes and lasting impact. She is drawn to moments when organizations work hard but lack coherence, when good intentions do not translate into results, and when leaders need clarity to act with purpose. Her leadership centers on sensemaking, alignment, and shared responsibility as the foundations for sustainable change.
With nearly two decades of experience in public education, Jennifer has led across school and system contexts through periods of growth, transition, and stabilization. She spent ten years as a principal within YES Prep Public Schools, an experience that deeply shaped her beliefs about equity, adult development, and the importance of coherent systems to support leaders and students. Across roles, her work has focused on strengthening leadership capacity, clarifying decision-making structures, and building organizational systems where accountability and care coexist.
Jennifer currently serves as the Executive Director of Tulsa Legacy Charter School, where she leads organization-wide strategy with an emphasis on long-term sustainability, leadership development, and system coherence. In this role, she has guided teams through deep learning and sensemaking processes that translate complexity into clear direction, enabling leaders at every level to act with confidence, alignment, and shared ownership for results.
She earned her Doctorate in Education from American University, where her research examined the persistence of Black female principals in secondary charter schools. This scholarship continues to inform her leadership practice, reinforcing her commitment to creating environments where leaders can thrive, exercise influence with intention, and lead change that endures beyond any one role or organization.
At her core, Jennifer is motivated by the opportunity to help people see the system more clearly so that leadership is not just influential, but impactful.
