Tom Clark has nearly 20 years of experience in education and nonprofit management and currently serves as the chief advancement officer of KIPP DC Public Schools. Tom joined KIPP DC in 2014 and is responsible for leading the network?s fundraising and partnerships, marketing and communications, student recruitment, organizational culture and strategy, board of directors and executive operations, and various other external affairs functions. Though he grew up all around the country, Tom has called Washington, DC home for more than 15 years. He obtained his bachelor?s degree from Wake Forest University and master?s degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Education. Tom began his career teaching high school Spanish in Baltimore, MD before working for Teach For America on teacher recruitment and training, fundraising, marketing, and events for many years. As a personal passion project, Tom owns and operates a guesthouse, event venue, and working farm in Shepherdstown, WV along with his husband Walt and dog Toby.
