Description: Public Advocates is hiring a Policy Advocate/ Senior Policy Advocate, K-12 Education (CA-based, Sacramento-preferred). The Policy Advocate/ Senior Policy Advocate (depending on experience) will be responsible for thought-partnering with the Managing Attorney and Deputy Managing Attorney on K-12 legislative, budget and administrative advocacy efforts in addition to serving as the lead for a statewide education equity coalition, California Partnership for the Future of Learning to support issues like equitable funding, diverse and quality teachers, and inclusive environments for all and especially multilingual learners. This new team member will also support w/ internal strategy planning, and also provide support with community engagement and ensuring the voices of students and families are at the forefront of policy decision-making. Salary range is $71,500-$85,000 (Policy Advocate level) and $85,000-$103,000 (Senior Policy Advocate level). Priority Application Deadline is Mon, Sept 9, 2024.
