Job Title: Chief Executive Officer Location: The role can be based anywhere in the U.S., most likely in a shared workspace. The Institute for Citizens & Scholars has offices in Princeton, NJ, which can be used by the CEO and members of the TCN team. Organization: The Civic Network Description: Reporting to The Civic Network (TCN) Board through its Chair, the CEO will assume responsibility for leading TCN’s strategy and operations. It is a full P&L role, focused on developing and delivering the go-to-market model for the business; ensuring the sign-up of customers among its three existing offerings (Digital/Symphony, Videos for Change and Premium Services) in order to reach profitability as quick as possible, and accelerating profitable growth from that point forward. The CEO will also focus on building the structures, operations and a close-knit team, all functioning with the global ecosystem of the High Resolves Group and the Institute for Citizens & Scholars. TCN is a start-up but it starts life with a rich foundation of assets and a track record of impact. Therefore, this role will be—by necessity—‘hands-on’, especially in the early stages. The CEO will have to be agile and resilient, and adapt with the needs of the business and team, as both grow. It is expected that all candidates for this position will have a genuine passion and commitment to the development of civics and citizenship skills in America’s youth. The founder organizations’ primary objective is social impact and although a commercial corporate form is being used, the investor base (current and future) and venture leadership are comfortable mixing purpose with profit. Salary: The successful candidate will be paid a competitive compensation package commensurate with the important responsibilities of the role in a pre-revenue start-up. This is likely to include a short-term incentive package and a long-term incentive package. Click below for full job description and to apply:

Job Title: Director of School Support Location: Remote Organization: Lit Description: Who We Are: We believe “the science of reading” is neither a momentary trend nor a call for phonics-only instruction. Rather, it is a definitive body of research that articulates the skills, knowledge, and types of instruction children need to become skilled readers. We are looking for a Director of School Support who wants to join Lit to: - improve reading ecosystems, adult practice, and student outcomes by supporting educators in aligning program and practice to research - disrupt dominant narratives about reading achievement in racially, culturally, and linguistically diverse student populations - ensure that there is no daylight between our pursuit of research and instructional equity The Opportunity: The Director of School Support will report to our Executive Director and will evolve the vision for, coach, and manage our growing direct-to-partner school service team and ensure coherent and high-quality support across partners.
