We are excited to announce the launch of the Leadership Team Seminar Program, a new pilot initiative designed to catalyze change in public education. Building on Pahara’s proven ability to sustain and transform Fellows in the education sector, The Leadership Team Seminar Program takes teams through a Pahara Seminar experience. This program explores the team as the unit of change by supporting organizations in their exploration of sustainability, identity, and legacy.

Building on pilots in 2021 and 2022, Leadership Team Seminars are a powerful way for leadership teams to engage in thoughtful discussion on sustainability, organizational identity, and community. Held as three-day, in-person convenings hosted at Lone Rock Retreat in Bailey, Colorado, participants will engage in programming elements core to the Pahara experience: text-based dialogue, mindfulness techniques, and grounding in nature.

Reflecting urgent needs in the education sector, the 2024 Leadership Team Seminar Program pilot will focus on supporting school-based organizations (single site schools, CMOs, etc). Are you a Fellow in the CEO seat of such an organization? If so, this is a unique opportunity for you to bring your leadership team to Lone Rock for a Pahara seminar-style experience, led by Pahara trained moderators.

Please read through the following program information. If you are interested in taking the next steps, complete the Expression of Interest form, and a member of the Pahara team will be in touch. To be considered for the 2024 sessions, submit your Expression of Interest by January 19, 2024. Pahara will review expressions of interest on a rolling basis. While we hope to accommodate all interested organizations, there is limited space for this program in 2024. If interest exceeds availability, Pahara will create a waitlist and will open consideration for your organization in future years.

The available date options in 2024 are:

  • May 1 - May 3, 2024,

  • July 29 - July 31, 2024,

  • October 7 - October 9, 2024

We have identified the following criteria for selection to help ensure that participating Fellows and their organizations  receive the most from this program.

  • Fellows who are in the number 1 seat  of a school-based organization (CEO, Principal, superintendent, ED, President) should complete the expression of interest; should be able to attend the event; and will serve as the primary driver/event steward with the Pahara team.

  •  The team members attending should consist of those who work most closely with the organization’s leader.

  • The Fellow completing the EOI should believe that the team participating in the Leadership Team Seminar is more likely than not to be the team that will help steward the organization’s vision over the next 2+ years.
