PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Leadership Team Seminar Program is an initiative designed to catalyze change in public education. Building on Pahara’s proven ability to sustain and transform Fellows in the education sector, the Leadership Team Seminar Program takes teams through a Pahara Seminar experience. This program explores the team as the unit of change by supporting organizations in their exploration of sustainability, identity, and legacy. 

 

Leadership Team Seminars are a powerful way for leadership teams to engage in thoughtful discussion on sustainability, organizational identity, and community. Held as three-day, in-person convenings hosted at Lone Rock Retreat in Bailey, Colorado, participants will engage in programming elements core to the Pahara experience: text-based dialogue, mindfulness techniques, and grounding in nature. 

 

Pahara has expanded upon the success of the Leadership Team Seminar model to now offer Leadership Team Collaboratives - a shared, three-day, cross-organizational experience for 2 to 3 teams to experience the LTS model together. This approach amplifies cross-organizational learning and collaboration.

PROGRAM COST

Program fee for 2026 is $2,500 per person, inclusive of meals, accommodations, curriculum, moderation, and shuttle service to/from Denver airport.

PROGRAM, CURRICULUM, & PREP WORK

A curriculum of proven Pahara readings on identity, legacy, and sustainability is offered for this program.

  • Set readings:

    • Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, "The Danger of a Single Story"

    • Octavia Raheem, "Invite in More Ease"

​

  • Organizations will select two to three of the following reading / session options:

    • Audre Lorde, "The Transformation of Silence into Language and Action"

    • Chuang Tzu, "The Woodcarver"

    • Lori Arviso Alvord, "Chantways"

    • Dedicated team time

    • Organization spotlight sharing (multi-org Leadership Team Collaboratives only)

  • An agenda of programming elements core to the Pahara experience: text-based dialogue, mindfulness techniques, and grounding in nature.

  • Following confirmation of participation in the Leadership Team Seminar Program, prep materials will be emailed to the participant team. Attendees are asked to complete all prep work before arriving on-site for the program. 

​

  • Two-three planning calls will be scheduled with the Pahara team to support event preparation and to debrief following the event. 

SURVEY
& DATA

  • Pahara will develop and share evaluation surveys with the participating team.

  • Partner organization is responsible for 100% survey completion.
