NOMINATE A POTENTIAL PAHARA FELLOW
We partner with our Fellows and others in building the Pahara Community. While nominations are not required for entry into the Fellowship, they are critical to our ability to identify exceptional leaders from across the education ecosystem, including but not limited to human capital, college access and success, juvenile justice, youth services, policy and advocacy, workforce development, mental health and wellness, technology and innovation, and elected and appointed federal, state, and local leaders. Nominees who meet our program criteria are invited to apply for consideration. When thinking of incredible changemakers to bring to our attention, we encourage you to consider leaders both within and outside of your close circles. We are sensitive to the ways sponsorship practices, though beneficial, may also disadvantage women and Black, Indigenous, and leaders of color who are less likely to have sponsors.
We aim for diversity of voice and lived experience in our cohorts that is inclusive of the breadth of our humanity across background, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical ability, religious affiliation, and political ideology.
PREPARING YOUR NOMINATION
It will take you approximately 15 minutes to share your nomination.
As you prepare your nomination, please plan to share:
the leader’s name, title, organization, and email address;
how long you’ve known the leader and in what capacity; and,
examples illustrating why you believe your nominee would be an outstanding choice for the Fellowship.
WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER SUBMITTING YOUR NOMINATION
Nominees who meet our program criteria will be invited to apply to the Fellowship. If your nominee does not meet our program criteria or if we need further information, we will contact you to let you know or to request additional information.
We accept nominations online throughout the year. Because our process is human-centered at every phase, it can be lengthy. We strongly believe that creating the ideal blend of perspectives in each group is a vital component of the program’s value and impact on participants. Sometimes, compelling leaders who meet the criteria of the Fellowship may be waitlisted for a future cohort as we work to develop the ideal cohort mix. You can expect to hear from us with an update on your nominee when they have been selected, waitlisted for a future cohort, or encouraged to apply again in the future.
