OUR WORK
OVERVIEW

OUR WORK  |  OVERVIEW

WE SELECT...

A diverse set of innovative leaders who are committed to equity and opportunity for all children.

WE SUPPORT...

Leaders at various points in their career trajectory, focusing specifically on lines of development, key career juncture points, and specific areas in the education sector.

WE COORDINATE...

Action amongst these leaders, producing lasting, collaborative, systems-changing work that but for the Pahara community, might not have been conceived.

AS A RESULT...

Hundreds (one day thousands) of leaders experience personal transformation and ownership within a community of extraordinary, values-aligned peers with whom they apply their learning and reflections to reimagine public education and, therefore, tomorrow’s society.

THE PAHARA
FELLOWSHIP

THE PAHARA FELLOWSHIP

The Fellowship experience is the central part of our work at Pahara.

The Pahara Fellowship aims to create a diverse, sustained, and trusting community of leaders who lead from a place of wholeness. Fellows delve into the values tensions that underlie many of the challenges in the field of public education, working together to achieve better, more ambitious, positive outcomes for low-income students and communities.

When curating cohorts, we maintain diverse representation across the following domains, believing that they are critical to our success:

  • Leaders within the non-profit schools sector

  • Leaders identifying as right-of-center politically

  • Leaders who identified as low-income while enrolled in K-12 education

  • Leaders who exhibit a track record of innovation

  • Leaders identifying across the gender identity spectrum

  • Leaders from various regional contexts

  • Leaders across an age continuum

  • Leaders representing various religious affiliations

AFTER THE PAHARA FELLOWSHIP

After a Fellow has completed the Fellowship, we hope to offer many opportunities for further engagement.

NETWORK EFFECT PROGRAMMING

Following the completion of the Pahara Fellowship, Fellows will have the opportunity to engage in programming aimed to encourage Continued Personal and Professional Transformation and Collaborative Action within the Pahara network.

This programming is designed to deepen reflection, inspire new thought, and encourage action in carefully curated containers. Additionally, we aim to coordinate, convene, and amplify Paharans with the goal of enabling greater collaboration and action across our network.

We hope to accelerate the innovative solutions championed by our Fellows and inspired by the connections made during their Fellowship.

COHORT REUNIONS

After completing The Pahara Fellowship, each cohort will have the opportunity to reunite annually at our campus at the Lone Rock Retreat located outside in Bailey, Colorado. Learn more about the new campus.
