LONE ROCK RETREAT
Lone Rock Retreat fosters a sense of community without ever feeling crowded. Situated on over 2,000 acres of Ponderosa pine covered mountain land in Bailey, CO, the Retreat offers abundant space for connection - formal and informal, large and small, indoors and out - alongside peaceful places for individual reflection. Whether you’re here for a Pahara Fellowship seminar, leadership retreat, or organizational convening, Lone Rock Retreat is intentionally designed to help guests reflect, reconnect, and reenergize, so they can return to their communities ready to create meaningful change for those they serve.

THE LODGE
The Lodge at Lone Rock Retreat is the centerpiece and heart of our retreat, seamlessly blending into the surrounding landscape. Expansive decks wrap around the building, offering breathtaking views of the valley and Rocky Mountain peaks. You may even catch a glimpse of resident moose or elk.
Three stories high, the Lodge is designed to reveal itself gradually, with gathering spaces that invite connection and quiet discovery. Its rammed-earth base, built from local soil, anchors the structure, while a distinctive curved roof frames sweeping mountain vistas.
The second and third floors feature two welcoming “homerooms” - clubhouse-style hubs where groups can gather for breakfast, breaks, and evening socializing. Each includes a music lounge with jam-ready instruments, a library, billiards, board games, and indoor-outdoor fireplaces that make it easy to spark conversation and new connections.
SEMINAR BUILDING
The Seminar Building is our dedicated space for dialogue, reflection, and leadership development. Designed for intimate conversation and collaboration, it features three in-the-round rooms that create an egalitarian, non-lecture environment where every voice can be heard. Thoughtful acoustics ensure clear conversation from any seat without the need for technology.
A central break room offers space to recharge with refreshments and connect informally, while soundproof booths provide privacy for one-on-one conversations. Just outside, a patio opens to fresh mountain air, and a natural amphitheater nestled into the slope invites group discussions, meditation, or team-building activities.

LODGING
We have 60 individual cabins that are simple, beautiful rooms. Our hope is that you spend most of your time out and about the campus. The cabin rooms are clustered together in groups of four and are a short 3-minute walk from the main campus buildings.
Each cabin room is outfitted with the following:
-
Oxygen enrichment system and one queen bed
-
Lounge chair and nesting table overlooking beautiful mountains
-
Walk in shower with soap, shampoo and conditioner
-
Hairdryer, Keurig coffee and tea maker
-
Umbrella and flashlight
-
Outdoor rocking chair
WELLNESS
Our Wellness building offers space to recharge both body and mind. Inside, guests can enjoy a sauna, hop on a Peloton bike or treadmill, or train with free weights. The fully equipped yoga room invites stretching, meditation, and reflection.
Tucked into the hillside and topped with a living green roof, the building blends seamlessly with its surroundings. Outside, three, cascading hot spring–style pools offer a restorative soak, while a cold plunge provides an invigorating jolt for the adventurous.
For quiet moments, retreat to the rooftop deck with a book or a glass of wine, settle in by the outdoor fireplace, and take in the mountain views.
