BIOGRAPHY

Jorge Robles is an education leader with a background in public education and the private sector, bringing a strategic and innovative approach to system-wide improvement. With expertise in financial management, operations, and educational leadership, he works to ensure resources, policies, and initiatives support student success and long-term sustainability.

As Chief Financial Officer for Metro Nashville Public Schools, Jorge Robles oversees financial strategy and resource allocation to support students, educators, and schools. Previously, as Chief Finance and Operations Officer for Tulsa Public Schools, he led efforts to design equitable budgeting strategies, strengthen educator compensation, and manage federal Covid-19 recovery funds to support student learning.

Before transitioning to education, Jorge Robles built a successful career in financial services, banking, and retail operations across U.S. and Latin American markets. His private-sector experience in operational efficiency, financial strategy, and data-driven decision-making has been instrumental in driving sustainable, student-centered solutions in public education.

Committed to equity, Jorge Robles has worked to improve outcomes for multilingual learners. As Executive Director of English Language Acquisition in Denver Public Schools, he helped implement a high-quality English Language Development curriculum, expand bilingual education programs, and launch the Seal of Biliteracy to recognize students’ multilingual skills. He also led efforts to improve school choice and streamline enrollment processes for families.

With an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin, a Master’s in Educational Leadership from The Broad Center, and executive training from Yale, Harvard, and MIT, Jorge Robles continues to bring a results-driven, collaborative approach to strengthening public education. Fluent in Spanish and deeply committed to inclusive and effective school systems, he partners with educators, families, and communities to create meaningful, lasting change.
