Dr. Nancy B. Gutiérrez is President & CEO of The Leadership Academy, a nationally recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and developing school and school system leaders to dismantle inequities in schools and create the conditions necessary for all students to thrive. She proudly began her career as a teacher and award-wining principal in her home community of East San Jose, CA. Nancy holds an Ed.L.D. from Harvard Graduate School of Education. She teaches and facilitates at Harvard, NYU, and Latinos for Education and serves on three boards of directors: The Hunt Institute, Education Leaders of Color (EdLoC) and brightbeam. She is a Fall 2019 Pahara-Aspen Education Fellow and was named one of the top 100 most influential leaders in education in New York in 2020 by City & State.
