Walnut Hill Workshop
Antonio Parés is the founder and owner of Walnut Hill Workshop LLC. He advises firms and leaders on organizational and programmatic design and strategy and consults on and leads business development for organizations in the education and nonprofit sectors. In 2020, Antonio established the VELA Education Fund for the Walton Family Foundation and Stand Together. Before that, he was a partner at the Donnell-Kay Foundation in Colorado, advised the Mayor of Denver on education policy, worked on political campaigns in Texas and Colorado, and supported two school turnaround efforts within Denver Public Schools. Antonio started his career as a secondary social studies teacher in south Texas.
Antonio is a gubernatorial appointee to the Colorado Charter School Institute board and serves as the board chair of GripTape Learning. In 2018, he was a fellow with the prestigious Pahara Institute. Antonio was born and raised in Colorado and is a proud third-generation alumnus of the University of Colorado Boulder, where he studied political science. Antonio resides in Denver, Colorado, with his wife and better half, Emily Elsenbast Parés.
