Greg Callaham is the Principal of Yu Ming Charter School in Oakland, California. Prior to working at Yu Ming, Greg served as the Senior Director of Culture at Alpha Public Schools, where he supported school leaders in developing and implementing positive school culture systems and supports across the network's elementary, middle, and high schools. Greg also co-developed Alpha's “Personalized Leadership Training” program - an integrated social-emotional learning program with a focus on hands-on practice and leadership development, resulting in a program and school where students coach, mentor, and teach their peers, with adults as facilitators. Before coming to Alpha, he participated as a school leadership resident at High Tech Middle School in San Diego, California, was the director of educational game design at an edtech startup in Shanghai, China, and taught middle school math in Portland, Oregon. Greg started out as a psychology research coordinator at a Veterans Hospital before switching careers to focus on education.
