Brandon Cummings serves as the Deputy Chief of Leadership Development for the School District of Philadelphia. In this role, he plays a significant part in advancing equity-centered leadership, supervising the district’s leadership pipeline programming, and facilitating professional development for the district’s school based leadership.

He has been particularly involved in supporting racial affinity groups for leaders, helping to create spaces for meaningful dialogue and professional support. His approach provides organizational support while allowing participants to direct their own conversations and address systemic challenges in education.

Through his work, Mr. Cummings demonstrates a commitment to transformative educational leadership that prioritizes equity, inclusion, and professional growth.

Brandon Cummings has earned advanced degrees from multiple prestigious institutions, including a master's in management studies from the Broad Center at Yale School of Management, a master's in organizational leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a bachelor's degree from DePauw University.
