BIOGRAPHY

Carolyn Hack is an executive coach and interim CFO at the KIPP Foundation. She was previously the chief executive officer at Aspire Public Schools and the chief financial and operating officer for Uncommon Schools in New York. Prior to this, she worked as the associate executive director of Development and Administration at Anchor, Inc. While at Anchor, Hack was responsible for the financial management of the organization, strategic planning, the development of a new evaluation model, the oversight of a capital renovation project, and fundraising. Her previous work experience also includes a summer associate position for the Chief Financial Officer of Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston. Hack is a 2005 graduate of Columbia Business School, where she was elected to Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society and was awarded the faculty-bestowed prize for Nonprofit and Public Management. Prior to business school, Hack taught high school mathematics and coached basketball and soccer for five years in Northern California. She received her BA in Economics from Johns Hopkins University and her MA from Stanford University's School of Education.
