David Baiz is the Executive Director of Programs at The Leadership Academy, a national nonprofit focused on building culturally responsive leaders at all levels of school systems. As part of his role, David leads the client services team to ensure high quality design, facilitation, and strategic consulting across engagements with schools and school systems. David also leads the Strategic Drivers team which aims to understand and promote the leadership actions necessary to ensure culturally responsive schools for all students.
Prior to joining The Leadership Academy, David worked with the College Board to lead expansion efforts of computer science and civics in high schools across the country. Additionally, David has over a decade of experience serving students in New York City. He is an award-winning math teacher and former principal of Global Tech Prep Middle School in East Harlem, a technology- and wellness-focused school.
