BIOGRAPHY
Dr. David Riddick is the Chief Executive Officer of Fenton Charter Public Schools in Los Angeles, where he leads a network of schools serving historically underserved communities. With more than two decades of experience in public education, Dr. Riddick has served as a classroom teacher, assistant principal, school director, and system-level leader, guiding schools through turnaround, growth, and long-term sustainability.
His leadership is grounded in a commitment to equity, coherence, and collective responsibility. Dr. Riddick has led complex change efforts that strengthen professional learning communities, improve instructional quality, and build durable systems that support both educator development and student success. He believes meaningful, lasting impact occurs when leaders work across roles and organizations to address root causes rather than symptoms.
In addition to his role at Fenton, Dr. Riddick serves on multiple education and governance boards, including the LAUSD Option 3 SELPA Board, ASCIP, and CharterSAFE. His work spans charter governance, policy, advocacy, and cross-organizational collaboration, with a focus on aligning systems to ensure access to high-quality educational opportunities for all students.
