Diane Tavenner is the co-founder and CEO of Summit Public Schools, a nationally-recognized nonprofit that operates public middle and high schools in California and Washington. Summit has earned national accolades and distinctions, including a 2019 America’s Best High Schools winner by US News & World Report. Diane is the founder of the Summit Learning Program and Platform. Diane is on the board of the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, Transcend Education, Gradient Learning, the Pahara Institute and the Minerva Institute. She is a member of the Young Presidents Organization. Diane is the author of the bestselling book Prepared: What Kids Need for a Fulfilled Life, a roadmap for parents to help children succeed in college, thrive in today’s workplace, and lead happy and secure lives. Prepared has been featured on “Good Morning America,” named a bestseller by Amazon and the Los Angeles Times, and recommended by Bill Gates as one of his top books of 2019.Diane co-hosts the Class Disrupted podcast with Michael Horn.
