BIOGRAPHY

Fatih Ay serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Superintendent of Harmony Public Schools, providing executive leadership to one of Texas’s largest and highest-performing public charter networks. He has served the organization since 2004 and brings more than two decades of experience in instructional leadership, system-level management, and organizational growth.

Mr. Ay began his career at Harmony as a science teacher and later served as an assistant principal, founding principal of Harmony Science Academy–El Paso, and Dallas Area Superintendent for nine years. These roles have provided him with deep operational and instructional insight across campus, regional, and statewide levels.

Under his leadership, Harmony Public Schools has expanded to more than 70 campuses serving approximately 50,000 students statewide, while maintaining strong academic performance, fiscal responsibility, and compliance. During his tenure, the organization has earned state and national recognition for academic outcomes, financial integrity, character education, and organizational excellence.

A central component of Mr. Ay’s leadership philosophy is his belief that strong outcomes are achieved through intentional collaboration and alignment across teams. He places a high priority on cultivating a culture in which team members work harmoniously toward shared goals, understanding their individual roles while remaining collectively accountable for student success.

As CEO and Superintendent, Mr. Ay champions Harmony’s Pre-K to Career initiative, which integrates rigorous STEM education with comprehensive college, career, and AI readiness programming and expanded post-secondary supports. This initiative aligns early learning through graduation with industry-connected career pathways, real-world credentialing, and sustained supports designed to increase college persistence and workforce readiness—ensuring students are prepared for both higher education and the evolving demands of the 21st-century economy. He remains committed to equitable access to high-quality education that prepares students for lifelong success.
