BIOGRAPHY
Frederick J. Ferrer, MS is the Chief Executive Officer of Child Advocates of Silicon Valley. Child Advocates of Silicon Valley provide Court Appointed Special Advocates for children who have been abused or neglected. They support over 600 volunteer advocates with a staff of about 30. Ferrer is also the Founder and Principal of Manzanita Solutions, a strategic consulting firm and is the former CEO of The Health Trust, a $100 million foundation. He is the chair of the Rocketship Public Schools' board. He is a Board member of Legacy Academy. He serves on the Leadership board of Santa Clara University's College of Arts and Science. And a LGBTQ advisor to the Children's Discovery Museum. He is an adjunct child development faculty member at De Anza College and Santa Clara County Office of Education. He holds a BS from Santa Clara University and an MS from San Jose State University. He was awarded an honorary doctorate for Public Service from Santa Clara University in 2014.
