Geoff is the Founder of Launch Expeditionary Learning Charter School and the Executive Director of Runway Green. He began his career as an NYC Teaching Fellow in 2003 and taught middle and high school ELA for six years at MS415 (Wadleigh!) in Harlem. Geoff then spent a year as a leadership fellow at High Tech High in San Diego before moving back to Brooklyn to open Launch. He now leads Runway Green, which is developing a nationally unique learning campus and education ecosystem at Floyd Bennett Field, a 1,300-acre national park in Brooklyn, bringing together schools, colleges, employers, nonprofits, and public agencies to create real-world learning opportunities for young people. Geoff has a B.A. in English and Creative Writing from Middlebury College, M.A. degrees from City College and the High Tech High Graduate School of Education, and an Ed.M. from Teachers College. He is the proud husband of a fellow educator and father of three wild boys. He loves the outdoors and is currently trying to maintain a growth mindset while learning how to surf.
