BIOGRAPHY
I will send updated bio Dr. Heath E. Morrison is superintendent of Montgomery Independent School District President of McGraw-Hill's School group, which is responsible for offering PreK-12 educators and learners with programs, tools, and services supported by differentiated pedagogical instruction and purposeful technology. Prior to this role, he was the School group’s SVP of Sales and Senior Vice President of Government Affairs. Dr. Morrison is responsible for representing McGraw-Hill Education's government-related opportunities before federal and state legislators and regulators and representatives of local school districts. He began his career as a social studies teacher in Virginia and Maryland and quickly moved into administration, becoming principal of both a middle and high school as well as a Community Superintendent in Montgomery County, MD. He served as Superintendent of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 2009, he was selected as Superintendent of Washoe County School District in Reno, Nevada. In 2011, he was named Nevada Superintendent of the Year, and in 2012, he became AASA's National Superintendent of the Year. Dr. Morrison holds a Ph.D. in Educational Policy and Planning and a Masters of Educational Administration from the University of Maryland. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in government from the College of William and Mary.
