BIOGRAPHY

Herneshia Dukes serves as the national director of Greenhouse E3, a non-profit organization providing executive coaching, training, and development for CEOs of charter education networks nationwide. Previously, she was the Executive Director of School Leadership at New Schools for New Orleans, where she developed and managed programs for principals in the city, including the Novice Principal Academy, the Principal Collaborative, and the E3 Fellowship.

Before joining E3, Herneshia was a founder, principal, and head of schools with KIPP Public Schools. Under her leadership, her campus earned an “A” for growth four consecutive years and was recognized by Orleans Parish School Board and the state of Louisiana. She also served on the faculty for KIPP School Leadership Programs (KSLP), coaching and designing programming for KIPP leaders. In 2019, Herneshia launched I.D.E.A. Education Consulting, where she serves as Lead Strategist and Executive Coach. Her consulting work has supported dozens of non-profits, districts, and charter leaders to strengthen teams, set direction, and improve student outcomes.

A proud alumna of Florida State University, Herneshia served as President of the Young Alumni Network (2017–2021) and is a member of the Women 4 FSU Board and Speaker’s Bureau. In 2015, she was the humble recipient of Florida State's Reubin O'D. Askew Young Alumni Award. She is a frequent guest speaker on the topic of education reform and school leadership and recently delivered a TEDx Talk on reimagining schools.

Outside of her professional work, Herneshia enjoys traveling and creating meaningful memories with her family. She is also passionate about supporting Black female entrepreneurs through The Onyx Business Collective, the non-profit she co-founded. Herneshia is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
