BIOGRAPHY
Jesús Galindo is the CEO of Aim High, a nationally recognized education nonprofit serving students across the Bay Area. As a former 3rd grade teacher, Jesús worked with colleagues to help make Lincoln Elementary one of the top-performing schools in the district in terms of growth, while reducing teacher attrition from roughly 50% annually to 100% retention by his fifth year.
He was a lead union organizer and bargaining team member, representing over 1,400 CTA members and helping secure a historic contract—one of the most significant in California history—including early codification of community schools language.
Jesús has been part of Aim High for more than 12 years. He co-founded Richmond, California’s first Aim High site and, as CEO, now leads the organization as it enrolls over 2,000 students and hires more than 300 staff annually across nine regions in the Bay Area. His work focuses on systems change—building the talent pipelines, partnerships, and conditions needed to move leaders from 5th grader to superintendent.
