BIOGRAPHY
Justin Scott is an executive coach, strategic advisor, and founder of La Colmena Leadership Partners, a consulting practice committed to advancing equity and excellence across public education systems. A proud Chicano leader and first-generation college graduate, Justin brings over 20 years of experience as a teacher, founding school leader, network executive, and system-level strategist.
He has led turnaround work, launched new schools—including KIPP’s first dual-language program in Austin—and served as Chief Schools Officer at Rocky Mountain Prep and Regional Superintendent at KIPP Texas. His work is grounded in a belief that schools should not produce exceptions; they should create access, belonging, and opportunity for all.
Justin holds a bachelor’s degree in Developmental Psychology from Santa Clara University and a master’s in Education from the University of Texas at Austin. He is also a returned Peace Corps volunteer. Above all, Justin is a proud father to Simone and Georgia, and partner to his wife, Kelly.
