KATHLEEN PORTER MAGEE
As superintendent of schools, Kathleen oversees all operations, academics, and school finances at Partnership Schools, a trailblazing nonprofit that manages nine urban Catholic schools--seven in Harlem and the South Bronx and two in Cleveland, Ohio. She has recruited top talent from Catholic and charter schools from around the country to help build what is viewed as a national model of Catholic school oversight and support. Under her leadership, Partnership Schools has increased enrollment, dramatically boosted academic achievement results, and worked to put once struggling Catholic schools on the path to long-term sustainability. Before joining the Partnership, Kathleen served in leadership positions at the College Board, Achievement First, the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C., and the Thomas B. Fordham Institute. Most importantly, she’s also a proud mom to three current Catholic school students.
