Ken Herrera is senior director of strategic initiatives at Uncommon Schools, a charter school network serving over 50 schools and 20,000 students across New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts. In his current role, he is responsible for driving the network’s overall growth strategy and monitoring progress against its five-year strategic plan. In over a decade at Uncommon he has held several roles including serving as the inaugural director of data analytics as well as the organization’s first director of college completion, where he oversaw the development of Uncommon’s org-wide college access and alumni success strategy. Prior to joining Uncommon, he worked as a director of college counseling for College Coach, a subsidiary of Bright Horizons and started his career as an admissions officer for Harvard College. He earned his MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business and his AB from Harvard College in Government.
