BIOGRAPHY
Laura Vinsant is a regional field advisor and executive director of Teach For America – Greater Baton Rouge. She has led the Greater Baton Rouge team since 2015. Laura is a Business Report 2025 Influential Women In Business Honoree. Currently, Laura is a Teach For All Systems Leadership Fellow, a member of the International Women’s Forum, and a member of the Junior League of Baton Rouge. With a deep commitment to community service, Laura serves as the immediate past chair of the Leadership Baton Rouge Alumni Board, is a member of the Capital Area United Way’s Community Impact Cabinet, and is an advisory board member of the Reilly Center for Media & Public Affairs. She is a graduate of the 2018 Council For A Better Louisiana’s Leadership Louisiana Class and the 2015 Leadership Baton Rouge Program, and was a 2015 Top 40 Under 40 honoree. The Baton Rouge Area Foundation recognized her with the Rising Star in Non-Profit Leadership Award. Prior to joining Teach For America's full-time staff, Laura served as a 2007 Teach For America corps member in Baton Rouge.
Laura received her bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University’s Manship School of Mass Communication, where she served as college president. She earned her master's degree in education policy and management from Harvard’s Graduate School of Education. Laura lives in Baton Rouge with her husband, Win, and their two dogs.
