Lauren is an independent consultant and serves as a founding board member of Rivet School. She was an early Partner at NewSchools Venture Fund, where she helped to launch the Charter Accelerator Fund and advised portfolio organizations. Previously, she served as Director of New Site Development for City Year, as Teach for America's founding Oakland Executive Director, and as a management consultant with Bain & Company.

Her previous board service includes KIPP Bay Area Schools (Chair), and Peer Health Exchange. Lauren received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley and her MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, where she worked with other student leaders to launch the Public Management Initiative on Social Entrepreneurship. Lauren is a member of the 2007 Inaugural cohort of the Pahara-Aspen Education Fellowship.
