Layne Fisher serves as the Chief Operating Officer at IDEA Public Schools, a network of high performing charter schools serving 85,000 students across Florida, Louisiana, Ohio and Texas. Layne leads the organization’s strategic efforts and oversight in the areas of facilities and construction, child nutrition, transportation and warehousing, health and wellness, marketing, communications, enrollment, school launch, and regional and school-based operations staff.

Before being named as Chief Operating Officer, Layne served as Vice President of auxiliary services at IDEA. His responsibilities included leading the district’s transportation and warehousing, health and wellness, and child nutrition program. Before joining IDEA Public Schools, Layne worked at Uplift Education, a Dallas-Fort Worth based charter school operator, where he served for eight years in campus, regional and district level operations leadership roles.

Layne attended the University of Tulsa where he received both his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Business Administration degrees.
