Marvin B. Figueroa serves as Virginia’s Secretary of Health and Human Resources, overseeing nine state agencies that support the health and well being of Virginians. He has held senior leadership roles in state and federal government, the United States Senate, and the private sector, with a career focused on expanding opportunity and improving how government serves people. Secretary Figueroa is originally from La Ceiba, Honduras (a proud Garifuna). He earned his master's degree at Harvard and bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University and is an alum of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute and POSSE Foundation.
