Mary Rice-Boothe, EdD, has more than 25 years of experience in education as a teacher, principal, principal coach, and non-profit leader. She was most recently the Executive Director of Curriculum Development and Equity at The Leadership Academy after serving as Executive Director of Content and Assessment at New Leaders. As the Founder of Leading-Within, LLC, she supports education leaders across the diaspora strengthen their contextual intelligence, develops tools for leaders, and documents best practices through research and writing. Mary is also the Founder of THNK360 Academy that supports students who are neurodiverse. Mary is the Board Chair for Marathon Kids and is a proud member of EdLoc. Mary holds a BA in Metropolitan Studies from New York University and an MA in English and English Education from the City College of New York, and a Doctorate Degree in Leadership and Organizational Change from the University of Southern California. She is the author of Leading Within Systems of Inequity in Education: A Liberation Guide for Leaders of Color and Navigating Power, Harnessing Possibility: A Guide for Leading Schools through Uncertain Times. She lives in Central Texas, with her husband, daughter, and son.
