Michael Franco is the Vice President of Natioal Consulting at TNTP. Previously, Michael served as a Partner at TNTP supporting high-quality instructional materials implementation and strategic planning in districts and state agencies in the Southwest. Prior to joining TNTP, Michael served as the Vice President of Academics at IDEA Public Schools, supporting academic programs in more than 80 schools and leading the organization to successfully expand Advanced Placement access to all of its high school students. Mike started his career in education as a high school social studies teacher through Teach for America in Roma, Texas.  In addition, Mike was both an Education Pioneer Fellow and a Pahara Institute NextGen Fellow. He received his BA in political science from Stanford University. Michael then attended graduate school at the University of Texas where he received a Master in Business Administration from the McCombs School of Business, and a Master in Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs.
