BIOGRAPHY

Mieka Wick is the executive director of The J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott Foundation. Prior to this role she served as the executive director of CityBridge, driving the Foundation’s strategy to build a system of transformational schools for all kids in Washington, D.C. Mieka began her career in education working with Professor Howard Gardner at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education. Upon meeting Massachusetts’ Commissioner of Education David Driscoll, she joined his team to build the first-ever Office of Teacher Quality for the State of Massachusetts. She then joined the founding team at New Profit Inc., a Boston-based venture philanthropy fund, where she served as investor relations manager. After completing her MBA, she spent two years at Reebok International working on the merger of the Reebok brand with The Adidas Group. Mieka holds a bachelor’s degree from Brown University and an MBA from Babson University. She serves on the Board of the National Cathedral School for Girls and is a graduate of Leadership Greater Washington.
