Monijit K. Katial currently serves as regional superintendent for KIPP Texas - Austin, where she partners with state, regional, and campus leaders to strengthen adult practice, navigate complexity, and translate vision into durable systems that support student and educator success.

Previously, Moni held leadership roles with the Houston Independent School District and IDEA Public Schools. Across these experiences, she has worked at both the campus and system levels, developing leaders, strengthening teams, and reinforcing her belief that strong outcomes begin with strong adults.

Moni has spent nearly twenty-five years working across education systems, drawn to the work by a love of teaching and a commitment to building environments where people are seen, supported, and challenged to grow. Her leadership is shaped by curiosity, care, and a deep respect for human potential.

A Houston native and first-generation American, Moni’s approach to leadership is deeply informed by her values and a desire to create impact by helping others imagine what is possible.
