BIOGRAPHY

Myrla Feria is vice president of the West/Midwest region at TNTP, where she leads consulting strategy and cross state partnerships spanning Washington to Minnesota and Kansas to California. Her work centers on creating coherent experiences across school systems and strengthening the conditions that enable thriving learners, thriving ecosystems, and a thriving nation. She focuses on helping systems bridge education to career by expanding access to strong academics, meaningful pathways, and supports that help young people move toward long term mobility.
Previously, Feria served as managing partner, guiding regional growth and deepening TNTP’s work in emerging states. Before that, she was a partner, supporting state and district leaders to improve early childhood systems, strengthen instructional quality, and expand access to high quality learning experiences. She began her TNTP career as a leadership coach, advising district and school leaders across Texas on approaches that elevated instructional rigor and improved student outcomes.
Earlier in her career, Feria served as a founding elementary principal in San Antonio, where she led efforts to close early literacy gaps. In her first year, only 18 percent of second grade students were reading on grade level; by year’s end, the school saw significant gains driven by aligned systems, instructional coaching, and strong partnership with families. Before becoming a principal, she supported the launch of a Pre K pilot that has since been replicated across more than 18 campuses. She began her career teaching middle school math and science.
A first generation college graduate from Roma, Texas, Feria earned a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies in early childhood education with a focus on bilingual education and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Her leadership is shaped by her belief that all students deserve coherent pathways that connect learning to opportunity and meaningful mobility.
