BIOGRAPHY
Myron Long is a native Washingtonian and the Founder and Executive Director of The Social Justice Public Charter School in Washington, DC, where he leads with a focus on educational equity, innovation, and liberation-centered learning. Under his leadership, SJS has launched groundbreaking programs like the Liberatory Design Lab and Guaranteed Together, an intergenerational guaranteed income pilot for students and families. A former principal at E.L. Haynes Public Charter School, Myron has a proven track record in school leadership, fundraising, and building transformative community partnerships. He began his career as a history teacher and youth mentor, creating leadership programs that improved academic outcomes for his students. A Camelback Ventures, Pahara, and EL Education Fellow, he holds degrees from American University and Morgan State University Most importantly, he continues to be an advocate for social justice and equity because of his two children, Glorious and Honor.
