BIOGRAPHY
Nancy Lue leads Valhalla Foundation’s K-12 education and data science education portfolios. She directs the development of strategy and grant recommendations and manages a portfolio of grantees, providing strategic coaching and thought partnership to accelerate their results. Nancy also leads the foundation’s diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts as well as capacity building support for grantees.
Before joining Valhalla, Nancy was a co-founder of the Advanced Education Research & Development Fund (AERDF), where she funded innovative programs tackling teaching and learning problems that disproportionately impact disadvantaged students. Nancy also previously served as Executive Director at the venture capital firm Global Silicon Valley (GSV), as the head of strategic planning and performance management at the U.S. Department of Education during the Obama Administration, and as a Principal at the Education Advisory Board (EAB).
Nancy holds a Masters in Education and a BA from Harvard University. She is a Presidential Leadership Scholar, a Senior Fellow with the American Leadership Forum Silicon Valley, and a 50CAN National Voices Fellow. Nancy is a first-generation college graduate and has served on the board of directors and advisory committees for more than a dozen education organizations.
