BIOGRAPHY
Nathan Breitling is Co-Founder and Chief of University Operations at NewUni, an organization dedicated to building scalable platforms to increase US and global postsecondary access. An accomplished college executive and academic leader, he has previously served as President and Chief Academic Officer of Patten University, Provost of the Art Institutes, and in numerous dean, director, and faculty roles at institutions across the country.
Nate has co-founded multiple social ventures, including Honors Pathway; a college-partnership program dedicated to helping low income and first generation students complete a degree and launch a professional career at no cost; and Tanzanian Educational Support Association, an NGO expanding secondary school access in rural Tanzania. He regularly consults with postsecondary institutions on strategy, program development, and accreditation.
Nate earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California, and his master’s and doctorate from Stanford University. Originally a rancher’s grandson from Texas, he now lives in Oakland, CA with his wife and daughter. Nate enjoys building things and riding fast motorcycles.
