Michelle Odemwingie is Chief Executive Officer of Achievement Network (ANet), where she has spent 14 years building one of the sector's most rigorous instructional and assessment organizations. As CEO for the past five years, she has led ANet's strategic shift toward Compass, an AI-informed formative assessment platform that gives teachers and school leaders the diagnostic precision to act on what students actually know, not just what they can produce on demand.

Michelle's work sits at the intersection of assessment design, instructional coherence, and the emerging science of learning in AI-shaped environments. She advises district leaders, state policymakers, and ed-tech developers on how to build learning systems where curriculum, assessment, and technology function as coherent infrastructure rather than competing priorities and on what gets lost when they don't.

She began her career as a middle school math teacher and brings that practitioner lens to every policy conversation she enters. She holds a degree in political science from Stanford University and a master's in secondary math instruction from American University.
