BIOGRAPHY
Randy is obsessed with Black progress. He believes that if we can successfully eliminate barriers to success for our most vulnerable students--in America, Black children--we can successfully support the needs of any student.
Randy supports school districts, community-based organizations, and philanthropic leaders to build creative packages of support for Black teacher recruitment and retention. As the former executive director of Urban Ed Academy in San Francisco, he built a national model for recruiting, training, and housing new Black male teacher candidates from Historically Black Colleges and Universities. He is an active member of the New York State Bar Association, holds a JD from the American University Washington College of Law, and received his BA in English from the University of Michigan.
