BIOGRAPHY

Richard Seigler-Carter serves as Chief Program Officer at LeveragED Foundation, where he leads the strategy and execution of the organization’s core programs, LaunchPad, the Collective, and Cohort Experience, and ensures every participant experience reflects LeveragED’s standard of excellence. LeveragED currently supports 130+ leaders across 28 states, reaching 55,000+ students, and Richard leads the work that turns LeveragED’s vision into tight execution, leader growth, and real school and leader impact. He is known for building high-performing teams, translating complex challenges into actionable plans, and delivering programs leaders describe as immediately useful, intellectually serious, and deeply affirming.

Prior to LeveragED, Richard served as a Managing Director at Success Academy, managing 14 high-performing schools that ranked in the top 1% in Math, top 7% in ELA, and top 1% in Science statewide in New York. In that role, he also designed and launched a new teacher training program that supported the development of 700 educators. Earlier, as Principal of Success Academy Harlem 3 in Spanish Harlem, Richard led the school to the National Blue Ribbon Award, then moved into network leadership, driving strategy and systems that improved performance across multiple campuses.

Beyond his executive leadership, Richard serves as Board Chair of Foundation Academies (New Jersey), supporting governance, strategic planning, and executive accountability in service of long-term school quality and organizational health. Richard holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and an MBA, and is recognized for pairing operational rigor with human-centered leadership, helping teams scale what works without losing what matters, clarity, trust, and results.
