BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Rikki Hunt Taylor is the executive director of Meridian Public Charter School in Washington, DC. Prior to joining Meridian in 2025, Rikki served as the chief academic officer at E.L. Haynes Public Charter School, leading academic shifts required to serve students during the pandemic while leading the community through a new instructional vision.

Prior to her time at Haynes, Rikki served as an assistant superintendent of schools in Philadelphia. Rikki worked for DC Public Schools for 17 years, first as a teacher and then an early childhood education manager for the Head Start Program, an assistant principal, principal, and central office leader, serving on the DCPS leadership development team as a director for the District’s aspiring principal program. Prior to joining DCPS, Rikki worked for the city’s first demonstration Head Start Program for families with housing insecurities. She currently serves as the board chair for Bridges Public Charter School in Washington, D.C.

Rikki received a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Trinity College in Washington, DC, a master’s degree in Education Administration from Trinity University, and an executive master’s degree from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. She holds an EdD in Educational Organization and Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania.
