BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Rodney Lynk Jr. is chief executive officer of Dr. Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy, where he leads a bold vision rooted in Black excellence, resilience, and community empowerment for Milwaukee’s youth. In this role, Rodney oversees a growing K–12 charter network and advances a mission focused on culturally affirming education, strong academic outcomes, and holistic student development.
Prior to his current role, Rodney served as chief executive officer and chief academic officer at Milwaukee Excellence Charter School, where he led school-wide academic strategy and organizational improvement. He previously served as principal at Rocketship Southside Community Prep and held multiple leadership roles in educator coaching, recruitment, and development. Across his career, Rodney has trained, supported, and inspired hundreds of educators, with a focus on instructional quality, leadership sustainability, and culturally responsive practice.
Rodney earned his Ph.D. in educational leadership and policy analysis from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His research examined the lived experiences of Black male principals in urban Midwestern schools, exploring how resilience, identity, and leadership practices shape sustained school improvement. A proud son of Milwaukee, Rodney is a passionate advocate for youth mental health, culturally affirming leadership, and building schools that empower young people to define their identities, shape their futures, and lead with purpose.
