BIOGRAPHY
Steve Lambert is the Chief Executive Officer for American Classical Schools of Idaho (ACSI). ACSI currently serves 939 students in grades K-11 in two schools (Treasure Valley Classical Academy and Idaho Novus Classical Academy), with over 2,100 students on intent-to-enroll lists for 4 additional schools.
Mr. Lambert retired at the rank of colonel from the U.S. Air Force in May 2014 after a 24-year career. He served in a variety of positions including as the Director of the U.S. Air Force Commanders’ Professional Development School and the Vice Wing Commander of the 86th Airlift Wing. Other duties include operational leadership and flying assignments, an assistant professorship at the Air Force Academy, flying special air missions in support of the President and his staff during the George W. Bush administration, and serving in a variety of national security policy positions in Washington D.C.
Mr. Lambert earned his BS in Political Science from the Air Force Academy and his MA in National Security Affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School. In 2004, he completed a research fellowship at the Center for Strategic Intelligence Research (Washington D.C.) and in 2008 he was awarded a National Defense Fellowship at the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy (Tufts University).
Mr. Lambert and his wife Laura have 4 sons: Andrew is a 2014 Air Force Academy graduate and currently an instructor and functional check pilot in the Air Force; Thomas, a 2018 Naval Academy graduate, served as an infantry officer in the Marine Corps, and currently as an Federal Bureau of Investigation special agent; Joshua is a 2019 Coast Guard Academy graduate and currently serves as a search and rescue pilot in the Coast Guard; and James is a 2021 Air Force Academy graduate and currently serves as a combat rescue helicopter pilot in the Air Force.
