BIOGRAPHY

Susan Colby is the founder of the leadership development and coaching organization Put Me In Coach, LLC. She coaches leaders of social impact organizations, with a particular focus on leaders of color. Susan also co-founded Imagine Worldwide and served as its founding CEO. She currently serves on the board. At Imagine, we use technology to provide every child, everywhere, with access to literacy and numeracy. We are currently serving children in southern, eastern, and western Africa, Asia, and the US. Prior to founding Imagine, Susan was a partner at McKinsey & Company, where she led the North American education practice. Susan has also served as the CEO at Stupski Foundation and a founding partner of The Bridgespan Group. At Bridgespan, Susan led the firm's work in education and philanthropy. Earlier in her career, she developed and led sustainable agriculture businesses throughout the world. Susan has served on multiple nonprofit boards, including CODE2040, Equal Opportunity Schools, and Stanford’s Clayman Institute for Gender Research. She is a member of the inaugural class of the Pahara-Aspen Fellowship and a Lecturer at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business and Graduate School of Education. Susan earned a BA from American University and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
