Thomas Munoz is the Vice President of Strategic Effectiveness and Senior Advisor to the Chief of Education at College Track, a national comprehensive college completion program that makes a 10-year commitment to students from underserved communities who seek to become the first in their families to earn a bachelor’s degree.

Thomas has served in a number of leadership capacities at College Track. He joined the organization in 2014 as the founding Sacramento Site Director, opening and leading the site for six years. Since 2020, he has served in a variety of national leadership positions for College Track, focused on amplifying the impact of the organization’s leaders at the intersection of program implementation, organizational strategy, and operations.

Prior to College Track, Thomas was a middle school teacher in both California and Texas. He is a graduate of the University of California, Davis and the University of San Francisco School of Law. Additionally, Thomas is an alum of the Institute for Nonprofit Practice and is a Co-Active Trained Leadership Coach. He lives in the Sacramento area with his wife Kimanh and their two daughters.
