BIOGRAPHY
Tiffany Cuellar Needham is the Executive Director of Teach For America (TFA) in Houston. TFA exists to ensure every child has the opportunity to attain an excellent education. To realize our vision, we find, develop, and support exceptional leaders who transform education and expand opportunities for children, starting in the classroom.
Prior to becoming the executive director of TFA Houston, Tiffany served as the vice president of programs for TFA Memphis where she launched the organization’s first regional summer teacher training, developed the regional strategy for teacher training and support, and maintained the region’s status as one of the most effective teacher preparation programs in the state. Tiffany’s commitment to ensuring an excellent education for every child began in 2003 when she joined TFA in Houston. As a teacher, she taught a group of exceptional fifth grade students in the Houston Independent School District.
Tiffany serves as a board member of the McNair Parent Teacher Organization, is a Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum, and sits on the board of directors of Texas Executive Women. Tiffany was named a 2018 Woman in the Fast Lane of STEAM by the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce, one of Houston Women’s Magazine’s 2020-2021 50 Most Influential Women, and a 2024 Women Who Means Business Honoree by the Houston Business Journal. The Needham Family are members of Cien Latinos por la Cultura, the founding funders for Advocates of a Latino Museum of Cultural and Visual Arts & Archive Complex in Houston (ALMAAHH) and founding friends of the Ed Thompson Inclusive Park at the Shadow Creek Sports Complex.
Tiffany is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. Outside of work and volunteer opportunities, Tiffany loves to spend her time with her husband Paul and her children Isabella (15) and Westley (12).
