Tim is the co-founder and CEO of EdNavigator, a non-profit organization that partners with pediatric healthcare providers to deliver personalized education support to low-income families. Until 2015, he served as President of TNTP, where his work focused on recruiting, training, and retaining outstanding teachers. Tim began his career teaching social studies at Northeast Middle School in Baltimore. He holds a MA in Teaching from Johns Hopkins University and a BA in American Studies from Northwestern University. He is the recipient of the Peter Jennings Award for Civic Leadership and the Harold W. McGraw, Jr. Prize in Education. He writes The Education Daly newsletter.
