BIOGRAPHY
Victor Evans is the founder of Hankins Young Group, a full-service public affairs firm.
Evans is a veteran government affairs professional with two decades of combined experience in legislative policy, strategic consulting, and political campaigns.
Most recently, Evans was Vice President at a start-up communications firm with offices in
Tennessee, Texas, and North Carolina. While there, Evans launched the firm’s government
affairs practice and quickly gained wins for clients in various policy areas, such as healthcare
and tech.
Prior to that, Evans served as Executive Director of the Tennessee Campaign for Achievement
Now (TennesseeCAN), where he successfully built and maintained a coalition of support
throughout the state to implement quality education reform policies, including overhauling the
state's 30-year-old antiquated funding formula and expanding school choice.
During his time as the Engagement Director at the Republican National Committee and
Tennessee Republican Party in 2014, Evans was pivotal in implementing the Party’s Victory 365 and Red to the Roots campaigns in Tennessee to expand the Party’s base of voters.
Evans started his career as a Senate clerk at the Tennessee State Capitol and was a classroom teacher in both public charter and private schools. Evans holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rhodes College and a Master of Education from Christian Brothers University. Evans lives in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife and young children.
